Why does installing RollBack Rx disable Windows system restore?

System Restore is a a Windows OS feature that you can use to restore the computer to a previous state. It creates backups of selected system and program files and can maintain multiple restore points. This gives you the choice of restoring your computer to any number of previously saved states. RollBack Rx is fully compatible with Windows System Restore. However, Windows System Restore only protects Windows systems file and the Windows registry. RollBack Rx protects EVERYTHING on the hard drive, including system files, data files, registry, programs and settings. It is, therefore, better to have Windows System Restore OFF rather than ON when implementing Rollback Rx. If you wish, you may still re-enable Windows System Restore at any time after RollBack Rx has been installed. | |
