You've rolled your system back and the time on the system clock remains the same date and time as when you updated your baseline or took a snapshot? Why is this?

Why This Happens

The simple explanation is that in a majority of systems, Windows itself is set to re-calibrate time to the current time every time your machine boots up, but if you've disabled this feature, you wouldn't see the system keep the time at the current date and time when you restore to the baseline or a snapshot. The system needs to be set to auto-adjust the date and time for the system to update the time after a restore.

Solution

Within Windows you need to enable the OS to auto-adjust time based on the current date and time. Here's how you enable it:

1. Click Start, choose Settings, and then select Time & Language

2. Under Date And Time, you need to enable the switch for Set time automatically

3. You also need to enable the switch for Set time zone automatically

4. Finally, enable the switch for Adjust for daylight saving time automatically

5. If using RollBack Rx Professional, you'll need to take a new snapshot. If using Reboot Restore Rx Pro, you'll need to update your baseline.

Now, the machine will automatically adjust the time based on the current date and time via the internet if the machine has an active internet connection. If it doesn't, it will synchronize with the BIOS clock.
