Can I set a password to VNC? 

The Endpoint Manager Console for Reboot Restore Enterprise and Rollback Rx Pro includes remote control features which depend on VNC. By default, we auto-generate a random password at every connection. This article shows how to set a custom password. 

How to set a custom password when using the Remote Control features of the EndPoint Manager Console? 

  1. In the EndPoint Manage Console > View > Options, toggle on the Show logon screen for remote control. 

2. Run EVncViewer.exe for the remote control with your custom password. This program is located on on the PC/Server hosting the EndPoint Manager Console, default location: C:\Program Files\Reboot Restore Enterprise\Reboot Restore EndPoint Manager. 


How to use the Remote Control features

From the EndPoint Manager console, you can Share your Screen or Remote Control to any connected PCs.

Share Screen

Click on the Clients menu (or right-click on any PC) > Remote Control > Share Screen. 

Remote Control

Only one PC can controlled at time. Enter the correct Port number (in screenshot example it is 5900) that matches your console (default is 9000).
