After 10 days of traveling around Austin, TX and Orlando, FL the Horizon DataSys team is happy to be safely back in beautiful Vancouver, B.C.  That's right - the team was out and about attending two massive tech conferences which brought in some of the best of the best at both SpiceWorld 2014 and EduCause 2014.

It was our first time attending a SpiceWorld conference, but wow, what a show. For those who may not know, SpiceWorld is an annual conference hosted by SpiceWorks,

In mid-August Microsoft released several faulty updates for the Windows operating system that resulted in many users getting the Blue Screen of Death (BSoD), particularly Windows 7 64-bit users.

As of August 27 the company has apparently fixed the issue and is now re-releasing the updates (edited of course to not shut down PC's).

For those who were affected, Microsoft is now encouraging those users to download the

**WARNING**

This is a warning to all users running Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 8/8.1. The latest round of Windows updates released by Microsoft in August are causing several machines to receive the Blue Screen of Death (BSoD).

Microsoft has since withdrawn these patches from their update:  KB2982791, KB2970228, KB2975719 and KB2975331.

The tech giant has also released a troubleshooting article on how to recover from this

 **Windows 8.1 Update 1 (KB2919355)**

**WARNING**

This message is for all end-users that are currently running Windows 8.1 and planning to do the update Windows 8.1 Update 1. 

Due to the fact that this update is not simple patches or service pack updates, this will require for all end-users to uninstall Rollback Rx BEFORE the update is done.
